WHAT IS IT?

The Virtual Card Landing Page is a space on the Capital One site where Small Business Owners can go to understand the benefits, use cases, and general information around Capital One's virtual card offerings. 

The design process.

Design

Design Kickoff

I hosted a design kickoff with our partners from tech, marketing, product, and more. The purpose of the kickoff was to align on the goal of the project, connect on what content should be included, think through timelines, and ensure we were all aware of any possible roadblocks.

IDEATION

Design Updates

Based on the feedback from my partners, I made updates to the design and began the process of creating a high-fidelity mock-up.

Handoff

Tech Handoff

I applied any updates based on feedback from the usability test and then prepared the Figma file for hand off to my tech team. With this, I also hosted Design QA to review the file and answer any questions they had.

Strategy

Content Strategy

I collaborated with our content strategist to review the marketing brief from our marketing partners and strategize on how to best represent and position the information for the audience on the site. I wanted the content to really guide the design.

IDEATION

High-Fidelity Mock-Up

For the high-fidelity mock-up, I met often with our engineers to ensure the designs I was suggesting were feasible for tech to build out. With their agreement, I then wanted to ensure our landing page was actually completing it's objective. For this, I wanted to conduct some usability and concept testing.

The Virtual Card Landing Page launched on April 10, 2022!

Low-Fidelity
Mock-Up

Based on the content we wanted to include, I mocked up a version of the landing page with call outs to specific sections I felt would be the most impactful. I then shared out these designs with partners for feedback.

UX Research

Usability & Concept Testing

I put together a test plan and executed the plan with usertesting.com. I then worked with our researcher to synthesize the data from the test and found that we were providing the right information, steps, and use cases to increase business's understanding of our offering and their likelihood to try it.
